Mega Rare Original 1968 UK 1st Phillips Stereo 1st Pressing 'Outside Inside' by Blue Cheer!!! On the UK 1st Press Matt Textured Silver/Black Phillips Labels with 1st Press -1//-1 Matrix & 1st Issue Laminated Gatefold!!! A Mega Rare UK 1st Pressing!! Especially in This Condition!!!
You are bidding on a very special record, this is the a Mega Rare ORIGINAL 1968 UK Phillips 1st Pressing of the awesome Outside Inside, by Blue Cheer! What makes this record so special is that is is the earliest UK 1st pressing on the original matt textured black/silver Phillips labels. What's more this has the very earliest 1st press -1//-1 matrix and the important 1st issue laminated cover. I say important, because this album features some of the most sought-after psych artwork of the period. To find this notoriously fragile sleeve approaching anywhere near this kind of condition is near impossible today. Also comes with its original 'patents' inner sleeve!!! Please check our other auctions as we have some more incredibly rare Blue Cheer rarities currently listed and ending soon!!! This is an absolutely essential record for any 1st press Psych collection - especially in this condition!!! The Classic 1st press Phillips centre labels are in stunning condition with NO Tears, NO Peeling, NO Lifting, NO Scribbles and NO unwanted writing of any kind!!! There are only some light spindle traces that can only be seen when angling the centre labels towards light and that's it!!! The gramophone rims containing the all important 1st press matrix's are also mint!!!
The first thing you notice about this record is how thick & chunky it is - it is super-heavy!!! The record still retains ALL its original gloss and shine and has NO dulling and NO nasty greying of the grooves!!! There are some hairlines present, but these are surface onIy and cause NO jumps, NO skips NO nasty loud pops!!! The thick quality pressed chunky 1960's vinyl looks and feels great (it is very heavy!). I would easily grade this vinyl as a strong Excellent- condition!!! A beautiful-looking record!!! (Most other sellers would grade this much higher).
The classic 1st issue laminated gatefold sleeve is also in great condition! On the rare occasions that these fragile gatefold sleeves turn up nowadays, they are usually totally battered and worn out-looking with severe corner & edge wear, rips & stains and terrible creasing (especially to the back). This is mainly because they featured a very delicate gatefold with just a solitary thin back sheet that made creasing almost unavoidable. However, this one has NO obvious flaws save for just normal edge wear, it is a very nice example with NO Tears, NO Stains, NO Scribbles and NO unwanted writing of any kind!!! It is completely blemish free!!! It lies perfectly FLAT with NONE of the creasing of the back sheet that is so common with these sleeves!!! It has very little discoloration which again, is very rare for this sleeve and allows the amazing vibrancy of the artwork to really come through. The spine is Near Mint with no wear and no cracking of the laminate. In fact the laminate is is beautifully preserved condition throughout! Nice and clear, with no creasing and none of the dullness & rubbing commonly seen on this sleeve. The upper & lower seams do have some moderate wear however. This sleeve easily grades as Excellent- at the very least!!! The LP comes with its Original correct UK 'Patents' text inner sleeve - which is also in stunning Excellent++ condition! Nice and flat with NO creasing - beautiful!! Please check out our feedback and bid with confidence as this is a no reserve auction with a very low starting price!
Do not underestimate the rarity of this record as a UK 1st press!!! Complete UK 1st press copies are in very high demand today. If you have never heard it or seen the artwork close up, it will blow you away! You will be hard pushed to find another copy that look and plays more better than this superb example. If you are a collector/investor, the price of this record will just rise and rise. An absolutely essential (and very rare) record to own in this complete and beautiful condition!!! Don't miss this one!!!

Postage ... Hazey Jane has absolutely NO hidden surcharges; the price you win is the price you pay, just add the relevant postage, it's as simple as that! We always combine postage so if you win more than 1 auction you save money on postage costs! We will only ship to non-UK countries via Airmail - we do not use surface mail, it is way too slow and thus increases the risk of records being damaged during transit.
A little note about insurance - Please read carefully... If the value of your record(s) is over £30, your invoice will include an insured option. Being the responsible adults you are, it is entirely up to you to take this up - we strongly advise you to do this but will not hassle you about it. You either add the required insurance or you don't. If you do add the required insurance and your record is lost/damaged, you will get a refund. If you don't add the required insurance and your record is lost/damaged, you will not get a refund. Can we be any clearer? I think not.

Refunds & Feedback ... Please read this carefully ... We try to give you the best quality examples of rare records available. However, there will always be somebody out there whose expectations far exceed UK record collector grading standards. If you are in anyway unsatisfied with your record or our grading of it please refer to the UK Record Collector Grading Chart very carefully BEFORE emailing us. We strictly adhere to it and will only offer refunds (minus the postage AND our eBay costs) if we are satisfied that we have fallen below UK record collector grading standards. This will very rarely, if ever, happen. We will not be impressed with buyers disputing our gradings without even bothering to check the UK record collector grading standards chart first - you have been warned ...
Buyers who continually Haggle, Whine and Moan to try to decrease the price they won their auctions for will be blocked from bidding on future auctions and can toodle off down to HMV or Virgin where they can harass the counter staff there.
We will always leave feedback upon receipt of feedback. In an ideal world we would like to leave feedback as soon as the record has been shipped but due to feedback blackmail in the past (i,e, ",,,I want a partial refund or I will leave negative feedback") we have opted to take this measure. Contact must be made within 3 days of winning the auction. If payment has not been received after 10 days a non paying bidder alert will be placed. If payment is then not received within 7 days Negative feedback WILL be left and the buyer WILL be given a strike by eBay. Thanks for reading.
