Don't miss this opportunity to own one of the finest and rarest 1970 CLASSIC HEAVY METAL HARD ROCK Albums of all time.

First issue released on the ''swirl'' Vertigo label with the wording ''Vertigo'' below the spindle hole. Comes in a gatefold cover and with a ''swirl'' inner bag.

Released on a Vertigo ''large swirl'' label (on the A side of the inner record label) with the wording ''Vertigo'' listed toward the bottom below the spindle hole (on the B side of the inner record label). The vinyl itself is also unique to the other later pressings (i.e. 2nd, 3rd, and so on). There is no break in between the tracks "Hand of Doom" and "Rat Salad" (i.e. it looks like there are only three songs on the B side of the record when there is actually four songs). On later pressings of this record the tracks "Hand of Doom" and "Rat Salad" are separated into two separate tracks.

The cover of this record is non-laminated.

This is a UK 1st Pressing.

Paranoid is the second studio album by the English heavy metal band Black Sabbath. Released in September 1970, it was the band's only album to top the UK Albums Chart until the release of 13 in 2013. Paranoid contains several of the band's best-known signature songs, including "Iron Man", "War Pigs", and the title track. The album has sold over 12 million copies worldwide.

In the early 1970s, an American nurse committed suicide and the Paranoid album was found on her turntable.The album's possible influence in her decision to commit suicide was mentioned in the inquest, but ultimately it was decided that Black Sabbath were not to blame for her death. "A lot of the words in the songs?a lot of the moods of the songs?are aggressive," Iommi acknowledged. "Especially in the early days?Satanic, if you like... That was the way it felt, so that was the way we played. But it got out of hand. With Paranoid in England, for instance. There was a girl found dead?a nurse she was: dead in her room with our album on the turntable going round. And it was taken to court saying that it was because of the album that she was depressed and killed herself, which was totally ridiculous, I think."

All records are professionally cleaned using an MOTH cleaning system prior to despatch.

I package my records in the strongest purpose made mailers for maximum safety.

All records are removed from their picture sleeves where appropriate and posted in a separate plain white inner to avoid damage during transit.

The following is the scale I use to grade my records , I try my best to get it right so please buy with confidence.

MINT:

The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks

or deterioration in sound quality.

The cover and any extra items are in perfect condition.

Records advertised as sealed or un-played should be mint.

EXCELLENT:

The record shows some signs of having been played,

but there is very little lessening in sound quality.

The vinyl may have some hairline surface scuffs which will be only slightly visible.

The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD:

The record has obviously been played many times,

but displays no major deterioration in sound quality,

despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch.

Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items,

is acceptable.

GOOD:

The record has been played so much

that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated.

perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches.

The cover suffers from folding, spine splits, discoloration, etc.
