BEATLES help NORWAY 1press BLACK and GOLD label 1965 VRARE
Classic Beatles album from 1965 in RARE Norwegian press.
The cover is the UK export Garrod&Lofthouse cover as it was sold in Norway. For the record, none of the original Beatles album covers were printed in Norway. Norwegian cut ORIGINAL innersleeve.
Norwegian pressings of HELP came with three different labels:
First (this one) black/gold OLD STYLE LABEL (as known by the first UK editions of Please Please me).
Second version, using the same design, only black/silver.
Third version was also black/silver, however with the same layout as the familiar UK black/yellow label.
The first one (offered for sale here) is by far the rarest and never turns up.
Pressed from UK metalwork with 1st pressing matrices:YEX168-1 and YEX169-1
This is the original thicker, heavier chunky slab of vinyl only found like this on the earliest original Norway pressings! (Later press are much more flimsier and less robust)!
It plays with a lovely deep bassey feel only found like this on early pressings!
Condition: VG++/VG+ 3inch tear in cover.
