Description
The Beatles - 'Rubber Soul'. PCS 3075.
The Beatles 1965 UK 1st press STEREO FACTORY SAMPLE DEMO 'Rubber Soul' LP. Released on the 3rd December 1965, this was the first Beatles album to include all four members as composers.
These initial early factory sample pressings would have usually been given out to reviewers, radio stations or used as quality control within the pressing plant. Released on the yellow and black Parlophone label. The labels feature the 'Sold in the UK ....' text, 'The Gramophone Co. Ltd' rim print and the 'KT tax' code embossed on side 1. The cover is an early Garrod & Lofthouse issue with 'Patents Pending' printed.
The matrix numbers are:
Side 1: YEX 178-3 GH 2.
Side 2: YEX 179-3 GA 2.
The vinyl is in VERY GOOD++/EXCELLENT- condition.
Both labels are in EXCELLENT condition.
The cover is in VERY GOOD++ condition. This would have graded higher but has a bump (1.5cm) along the bottom edge.
The inner sleeve is in VERY GOOD+ condition.
