On offer here is a VERY rare single (especially in this condition!!!!) called "Hey Jude" by The Beatles and is a UK 1968 Apple (Phillips Contract) 1st Pressing on the 'textured' Apple label!!!! The B side is called 'Revolution'. THIS IS SIMPLY A MASSIVE RARITY AND RARELY EVER TURNS UP AT ALL!!!!  THIS IS THE MEGA RARE PHILLIPS '3-PRONG' CONTRACT PRESSING AND IS IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND!!!!  HEY JUDE SOLD IN HUGE NUMBERS IN 1968 AND IT WAS DIFFICULT FOR EMI TO COPE WITH THE PRESSING DEMAND.  SO THEY CONTRACTED OUT EXTRA PRESSINGS OF THIS APPLE SINGLE TO DECCA, PYE AND RAREST OF THEM ALL PHILLIPS.  ALL OF THESE COMPANIES PRESSED COPYS OF THIS SINGLE 'FOR' EMI (APPLE) - BUT THIS ONE IS THE RAREST OF THOSE CONTRACT PRESSINGS AND WAS PRESSED BY PHILLIPS!!!!  IT IS IMMEDIATELY NOTICEABLE AS A 'DIFFERENT' CONTRACT PRESSING WHEN COMPARED TO THE STANDARD EMI (APPLE) PRESSING OF THIS SINGLE.  FIRSTLY (AND MOST OBVIOUSLY) IT HAS A '3-PRONG' CENTRE TO THE SINGLE (STANDARD PRESSINGS HAVE 4 PRONGS) AND NOT ONLY THIS - BUT THE LABELS ARE 'TEXTURED' - WHICH IS AGAIN SOMETHING THAT IS TOTALLY DIFFERENT TO THE STANDARD EMI (APPLE) PRESSING.  NOT ONLY THAT BUT THIS MEGA RARE CONTRACT PRESSING HAS MOTHER NUMBERS ONLY WITH NO STAMPER LETTERS - WHICH AGAIN IS COMMON TO ALL PHILLIPS CONTRACT PRESSINGS.  THIS IS A GENIUNE AND MEGA RARE 1968 PHILLIPS CONTRACT PRESSING OF 'HEY JUDE'  AND IS IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND!!!!   NOT ONLY THIS - BUT THE LABELS ARE IN STUNNING CONDITION AND THE RECORD PLAYS SUPERBLY - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS VERY RARE OPPORTUNITY!!!! The matrix numbers are 7XCE 21185-1 & 7XCE 21186-1.  The Mother numbers are 5 & 5.  This is an ORIGINAL UK Apple (Phillips Contract) 1st Pressing on the 'textured' Apple label and the Cat No is R 5722. Any fan of The Beatles, or 60s music in general, will want to have this in their collection!!!!

The record labels are in STUNNING condition (see pictures) NO writing, NO wear, and only a VERY few light spindle marks!!!! IT IS VERY CLEAR THAT THIS RECORD HASNT BEEN PLAYED MUCH AT ALL!!!!  The record is in GREAT condition!!!! Most of these 60s singles had been to a lot of wild parties and are usually found totally worn out, and almost unplayable. This record is NOT and has NO scratches, 2 or 3 non sounding hairlines (only visible under light), a few light non sounding scufflines, a couple of light surface marks and only a few of the lightest paper scuffs only visible under light!!!! This may sound like a lot - but all the marks are light and this record is certainly NOT 'covered' in marks and plays BRILLIANTLY!!!! It is great to find that the playing of the record is even BETTER than the visual!!!!  There is NO nasty loud pops, NO jumps, NO sticks, NO hiss and NO nasty constant crackle!!!!  There is also NO distortion and NO groovewear either!!!!  The single must STRICTLY grade visually Very Good (PROPERLY graded, NOT trashed) if not better - though the playing grade is more like Very Good++++ if not better!!!!  This record really does play BRILLIANTLY!!!!  Believe me this record is NOT overgraded in ANY way!!!! I use STRICT RC grading standards - it is not in my interest not to!!!! Brillant!!!!  The record comes in its ORIGINAL GREAT conditioned company sleeve!!!!  DONT MISS OUT ON THIS MEGA RARE OPPORTUNITY TO OWN THIS HUGELY RARE SINGLE!!!!
