THE BEATLES
Revolver
Original 1966 Stereo Early 1st Pressing with 'DR.' Error on the Label!!
This listing is for a very rare, early stereo 1st pressing of the Beatles LP 'Revolver'.
When this album was original issued there was an error on the label where the song title 'Doctor Robert' had been contracted to read 'Dr. Robert'. John was unhappy with this and requested that it be changed to it's full wording but only after a fair amount of mono copies had already been manufactured and distributed. However, as production of the stereo copies started a lot later than the mono copies, far far fewer can be found with this error.
In fact, some people say it's near impossible to find an original, stereo copy with the 'Dr. Robert' error on the label!
A great time to add this highly collectible record to your collection!
Please check out large, detailed photos of this record at the bottom of this listing.
Title Revolver Year of Release 1966 Catalogue Number PCS 7009 Label Yellow / Black Parlophone with 'Gramophone' rimtext and 'Sold in UK' statement Tax Code on Disc KT Sleeve Manufacturer Garrod and Lofthouse Side 1 Matrix Number YEX 605-1 Side 2 Matrix Number YEX 606-1 Side 1 Stampers 1 / GAR Side 2 Stampers 3 / GA Cover Condition The cover is in G+ condition. It's holding up well with some wear and tear showing its age. Has some little creases down the spineside and there's light wear and creasing as you can see in the photos below. No splits in the seams, though, and the spine is holding okay with no splitting or tearing, and just a little wear from the aforementioned creases running through it. There's a small, red sticker on the back and a small pen squiggle in the O of Revolver. Inner Sleeve Condition - Inserts Condition - Disc Condition(VISUALLY GRADED) The disc is in G+ condition. The disc has looks pretty clean but also has lost some of its original shine. A fair amount of light scuffing and marks but nothing serious or heavy - looks like it would play with a fair amount of light crackle (although I cannot confirm this as I don't have a record player) Label Condition The labels are in VG+ condition. The labels are clean with bright, silver text. There's a little rubbing to them and some light spindlewear, moreso on the side 2 label. There's also a little whitening around the centrehole.
All records have been visually graded under a strong, 125W natural light desk lamp.
