Description

The Beatles, Revolver, GENUINE UK STEREO FIRST PRESS, Parlophone, DR ROBERT label.
A chance here to own a legit first press of the legendary Beatles' Revolver album ... the rare stereo first press (not as many of these were made as the mono equivalent). It has the 'Dr Robert' label credit (soon changed to the more common 'Doctor Robert' ... plus -1 matrix on both sides.
It's from my own collection which I am now downsizing after many years. This one has been stored away in an acid free sleeve and box, only played once or twice by me.
I always try to be as honest as possible, so you know what to expect. So here is a breakdown to accompany the photos:

The sleeve is very good for its age .. just a little age related wear, mainly to the side (where there is a very small tear). The back is very clean, great strong flipbacks, bar what looks like a very small patch of discolouration where the cardboard underneath can be seen (pictured).
The inner sleeve is original and decent, but the thin plastic inner lining has come away on one side. These are notoriously fragile though.
The vinyl labels are lovely - not much evidence of spindle-wear. The vinyl, visually, is also good - only the odd fairly light hairline across both sides. Play wise, it was fine but, on my machine, stuck once on the track Love You To. My machine isn't particularly specialist (old 1980s standard hi-fi) - nor have I ever cleaned the disc. So you might have more luck with it. But that was my experience.
Matrixes are YEX 605-1 and YEX 606-1
Stampers are 3/GH and 2/GL
So this is still a nice example of a rare record - which is increasing in desirability all the time. A shame about that stick but, as i say, I try to be honest with what I find. Record grading is, of course, a subjective business so if you do have any questions please ask - we both want a happy sale.
*Please note that the price quoted for postage (2nd class signed) is for the UK only. Anywhere else and that's obviously subject to change)*
Thanks for looking - and happy bidding.
