AVENUE TALK - Cry For Mercy ( 1988 Slagerfabrikken )
Condition : Excellent: Cover And Record in Excellent condition.
Avenue Talk produced one of the arguably best hi-tech/westcoast albums ever with their only release, "Cry For Mercy". Performed and produced to near perfection by the band and Murray Monro, you won't find head splitting guitar riffs here, however if it's little arrangement details and digital synth and percussion sounds you're looking for, you've come to the right place here. The overall sound resembles that of Guys In Disguise, and Avenue Talk pull off both midtempo and balladic songs very well. Frank Hovland's lead vocals are excellent, as are the rest of band's musical contributions, but we do not know what the members of Avenue Talk have moved on to since the group's demise. If you're looking for something a little outside of the standard AOR niche, Avenue Talk's "Cry For Mercy" is a good place to start.
