Heavy Gatefold Cover grades Near Mint minus ~ Very Rare First U.S. Issue

LP sight-grades NEAR MINT minus with very few signs of play or wear. Upon very close inspection there are a couple faint, strictly cosmetic surface marks but the near-perfect labels would suggest that this LP was very seldom spun.

Colorful [and strange] open-up cover is intact with no hole punches, slices, cut corners, writing, stamps etc.

Original thick stock cover grades NM- with very little ring or shelf wear. Spine is intact & very legible. All seams are intact [rare] with very little flaking. Mainly black inner cover [which features great photos of the youthful band] has very slight ring wear (white spots). Inner seam/spine is intact & sharp. Opening edge/Corners are fairly sharp. Corners at the top & bottom of the spine show very slight wear.

The extremely rare [yellow with purple logo] STRAIGHT Records labels are very sharp with no spindle marks, writing etc.

A Word to the Wise about record grading: Beware of sellers who claim their "used" record is in "Mint" condition. This is a fantasy. Only an unopened & therefore unplayed album can be said to be in actual "Mint" shape. Proper grading involves skill, knowledge and honesty. A very, very small percentage of opened albums are somehow "Unplayed". 'Nuff said. All CDs & DVDs up for auction are originals. International bidders are always welcome !!
