Description

Hello, I am a long-time eBay seller - since October, 1999.  I have a 100% feedback record, so bid and buy with confidence.  I have collected records for many years and every record I offer comes from my personal collection.  The grade I specify for the vinyl is based upon a playback as well as a visual inspection.  The grade I assign for the cover and inserts (if any) is based upon a close visual inspection.  My grading standards are conservative - I believe that it does no one any good to inflate the grade of the record only to have the buyer be disappointed upon receipt and wish to return it.  I offer a full, no-questions-asked return policy on every record I sell except in very rare circumstances.  In those rare cases, I clearly state the condition of the record and explain why I cannot accept a return on it.
For sale today is an excellent white label promo copy of Pretties for You by Alice Cooper issued on the original Straight label in 1969.  The record visually looks VG++ to Near Mint with just a stray light line and one small mark on Side 1.  Side 2 looks Mint.  The grooves are sharp and well-defined. When played, the record sounds Mint - no pops, no clicks, no sticks, no problems!
The white labels are clean of annoying spindle marks.  Just one small slight mark on Side 1, below and to the left of the spindle hole, as shown in the photo (making it grade Near Mint), Side 2 label is Mint.
The cover is conservatively graded as VG++.  Just shows a bit wear that accumulated over its 50-year life.  Colors are bright and vibrant, all seams fully intact.  I would think many would grade it as Near Mint, but I like to be conservative.  Front cover has "Promotion- Not for Sale" sticker at bottom as shown in photo.
No inner sleeve (not sure it was issued with one) but since I purchased it many years ago I placed the vinyl in a separate archival inner sleeve, which I then placed in a separate white outer cover to best protect both the vinyl and original outer cover (see photo).
A great item, thanks for looking.

Note: In looking at this album when showing it to a friend recently, I noticed that under certain lighting, and when held at a certain angle, there are very fine, very light marks or scratches on both sides of the vinyl.  This is not necessarily inconsistent with my earlier description of the vinyl VISUALLY grading overall as VG++ to Near Mint Minus, but I want to add this note for completeness and accuracy.  I play-graded the album again yesterday to make sure of my earlier assessment, and it indeed play-grades as Mint- as described in the original listing.
