"Spring Parade" Soundtrack starring Deanna Durbin
The inscription on the inside front cover says it all: "This album of 6 records compirses the entire score for the motion picture "Spring Parade." It is privately recorded and pressed in a limited edition of 25 sets of which this is number 18." The 12" records are pressed on a dark blue material, similar to the Columbia Royal Blue but darker in color. They are all in excellent condition. The album cover features a photo of a cute sclupture (see photo) and has the name "Joseph Valentine" embossed in gold on a black textured cover. This is an expensive production and was possibly intended as a gift or appreciation for a select few. The name Charles Previn (the conductor of the orchestra) is inscribed on each label along with "Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. I'll grade the entire set a 9 on a scale of 10 as it is both scarce and in excellent condition. It will be a while before you see another copy.
