Decca WA705(GB) "The John B.Calypso" (calypso) / "Odofo" (highlife) by E.T.Mensah and his Tempo Band. When Mensah recorded his first 78rpm discs for Decca West Africa in 1952 he was quickly proclaimed the 'King of Highlife'. With songs covering topics from love to social commentary were delivered in Ga, Fanti, Twi and Ewe (here in Fanti). Highlifes and calypsos sung in English, this calypso being only instrumental...Of course hot dance music full of feelings & rhythm !!!

Grade: Vg+ (some wear, & many but superficial scrs , light surface noise ) Label: E but wol side 1 original label sleeve

NM- very glossy & absolutely clean (usually from dead stock, I don't use it for shellack records))
E+ Glossy eventually light handling or storage marksE Glossy & clean, some marks or superficial scrs
Vg+ Some wear, but some gloss too, some scrs, still sounds clear & loud
Vg Considerable wear, not so glossy anymore, plays ok but surface noise and pops
Vg- Worn , heavy surface noise and pops but still playable
G considerable noise, a wreck (just good to fill your shelf or for information....)
