Description

This auction is for an exceptionally rare and sought after South African Mono copy of The Birds, the Bees & the Monkees WZRM - 3517/3518 COM-109 True Mono Mixes LP. The LP contains the true dedicated mono mixes used in the US version. Vinyl is excellent to NM condition (there is a sticker from presumably the record store in Fordsburg, Johannesburg South Africa when purchased new in 1968) sleeve is G+ condition with some of the shine or laminate coming off around the sides and some seam splitting. Notice the matrix codes indicate WZRM - 3517 and WZRM - 3518 with the "M" signifying MONO (as opposed to standard stereo mixes which were noted as WZRS 3519 / 3520) The jacket is also the version that shows the quote from Edith Sidebottom on Davy Jone's photo, which was later removed on subsequent releases due to a lawsuit that her quote was used without her permission.
