I am currently dispersing the last of a 40-year lifelong collection of 33 & 78 RPM records assembled by a discriminating audiophile.  While, I can not play test these LPs because I do not own a turntable, I am happy to report that the vast majority of these albums are immaculate (or near immaculate), clean shiny vinyl, with little to no visual evidence of playware. 

Luckily, the fastidious man who amassed this collection was a discriminating audiophile who generally did not collect any wax that was not in really really nice condition. 

The elderly gentleman began collecting vinyl back in the 1960's and his usual modus operandi of collecting was to immediately record the record and then store the record in his collection.  Hence, many of the records have a recording date written on the back of the sleeve.  

His wife said that the records remained otherwise undisturbed & unplayed in his collection, as he played his music collection through tapes, and later cd's. 

I have not cleaned any of these discs with any liquid cleaners or anything else for that matter.  These were both were stored away after recording, according to her. 

In this auction, you will receive the following (2)- RARE & Nice Conditioned 78 RPM Assyrian Language Traditional Folk Music Records by Murassa Urshan Daniels (Murassa Khanom) of Iran:

*Columbia - 82004F- "Talkislee La Wood Kisha"/ "Go Da Dunyee" - performed by Madame Murasa with J. S. Alexander (Tar.) and R. Lewis (Tambourine)

Images #3-#10 are all of this record.  Condition remains generally very much better than usually found with two exceptions.  "Talkislee" side has (1) 1/2" wide edge rim chip that does not intrude into the playing portion. 

And "Dunyee" side has wax crackling in a half moon shape at the edge that intrudes 1/2" into the playing surface and is 3" wide at the beginning of the playing portion.  

Detail image #10 shows this area well, as well as the surface scuff to the right side (the second most major flaw on this side).

The 1/2" wide edge rim chip on side A and the

wax crackling in a half moon shape on side B are not in the same spot.

At close inspection, I am not sure that you'll be able to hear this cracking as it shows as tight hairlines and not separated cracks or fissures.

Don't know if this is damage or some type of porduction flaw.   This wax crackling is not evident on the other side.

Both sides of this rare record are very clean otherwise with a few small scuffs & scratches present, as shown.

This disc is just super clean with a few small ticks and light scratches only and would have to rate in VG++ to EX- condition range.

A professional cleaning should do wonders for both of these records!

I am generally not grading these record albums but have provided numerous good photos of them.  The former owner was a collector of discernment and he generally did not add destroyed or inferior conditioned wax to his collection. 

There are no other cracks, no edge rim chips (otherwise) or other significant flaws to either.  And scratching and scuffing is minimal.

If you note the spindle holes, these both appear as if they were quite seldomly played indeed!
