Please understand, we have served thousands of "satisfied" customers and processed thousands of orders - far more than our feedback records indicate - It is our intention to give EACH and EVERY buyer our best possible service and we are known to ALWAYS deliver your purchased item. ALL items paid for are processsed 'outbound' to each and EVERY customer, satisfaction guaranteed. Keep in mind we have serviced THOUSANDS of satisfied customers and our aim is to continue to do so.
We make every effort to mail all orders out Friday of each week. Keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two at most. We also strive to keep our shipping and handling costs as close to actual charges as reasonable.
TO OUR REPEAT CUSTOMERS: We often get requests to hold orders to save on shipping. We are happy to do that. Please pay your current invoice within five days of auctions ending and IF YOU REQUEST we will hold your order and reflect a shipping discount for each additional order shipped together in the same parcel. To receive continual shipping discounts, we will hold your orders as long as you want, but it is necessary to pay each invoice you receive to stay current. Most importantly, we appreciate your business.
V. RARE 1967 first pressing San Francisco Sonic Acid-Rock + Insert!
FIFTY FOOT HOSE
CAULDRON
...USA - LIMELIGHT Records - LS 86062
Gotten Very hard to find/rare, the very first ORIGINAL pressing in sonic-stereo of one of the true San Francisco underground psychedelic bands of 1967, in THE FIFTY FOOT HOSE...
contains the (rare) sonic-psychedelic designed original lyrics inner sleeve!!
This is a true forgotten classic. Out of the great 1967 San Francisco acid-rock wave, bassist Louis “Cork” Marcheschi — along with husband and wife, guitarist and slick vocalists David and Nancy Blossom, bonus guitarist Larry Evans, and Kim Kimsey on drums — produced but one album in 1967, then basically faded away into normalcy. At the time, critic Ralph J. Gleason said, “I don’t know if they’re immature or premature.” I believe history has proven them to be the latter. While the razor-bladed blues rock fuzz and love laden “I’m just trying to free my mind” lyricism may have been par for the course for that era, the Blossom’s heady influences met with Marcheschi’s homemade Radiophonic synths and Theremins to create a sound tragically ahead of its time. Neo-psych bands of our day make a decent living doing basically the same thing, touring with a Roland synth, but, since Cork made his own, the aural electricity smothering Cauldron in space sounds is just too fantastically dirty and totally original.
Each Doctor Who warp and UFO multidimensional warble is a Technicolor snowflake caught in a notion where time is no longer relevant, totally unable to be absorbed by a mind without blowing it. These remarkable noises augment a solid base of haphazard prog-blues, with great fuzz-guitar bursts, mind bubbling crude synths, thermins and Nancy’s dispassionate vocals all make an undeniably classic and deservedly legendary LP, easily on par with the greatest garage-psych works around in the day. When this album came out, it was like showcasing an overblown sonic space-garage band a few years ahead of their time. The heads & flower children of '67 couldn’t really form a full idea as to what they really had in front of them. You sure missed out, 1967.
