- "A Day in the Life" 5:33 SAMPLE (178k) Up for auction here is my first edition copy of SGT. PEPPERS LONELY HEARTS CLUB BAND. This is one of about 8 sealed Beatles I still have in my collection, all purchased right when they hit the record store bins.This copy is missing the Macleans music text on the back/right corner-indicating this is a TRUE original U.S. pressing from early 67'.The psych-innersleeve is just barley visible insde the opening. I believe these custom innersleeves ONLY were issued with first issues. Original DAYTON'S record store sticker is still attached to the shrinkwrap. I still remember paying about 3 or 4 dollars for this copy! This copy has been kept in a non- smoking environment for fourty odd years, and still has the look of a record purchased only recently. No ringware or shelfware can be found anywhere-edges and spine are super straight (never been dropped, thank god!). Protractor square corners, centered spine description,tight seal with no shrinkwrap tears. no age yellowing, spotting, bright graphics, bright white edges! There can be NO doubt, this is the finest exmple of this title you could hope to find! Keep a watch on my auctions, I will be listing more first issue sealed, and mint BEATLES from my collection during the next few weeks. Almost every title from the BEATLES!
