 ALL MUSIC GUIDE review

by Jim Brenholts

Tibet is an electro-tribal world music symphony composed to honor that country. Mark Isham handles the task tastefully and tactfully. He uses Japanese haiku as a basis for rhythm and repetition. The only ethnic instrument is the bamboo flute. Isham's sound design incorporates traditional western instruments in honor of Tibet and its culture. This is not Tibetan music, but it does evoke imagery of the Himalayas and "the place where the earth and the heavens meet." The atmospheres are subtle and mysterious.Isham's soundscapes waver from new age to ambient to minimalism to worldbeat. The fluctuations are random. This disc will appeal to fans of Jon Jenkins, Greg Klamt, John Flomer, and Patrick O'Hearn.

IN THE USA SHIPPING ON THE SECOND & SOMETIMES 3RD LP IS FREE

NM (Near Mint): Record and cover appear virtually unmarked.

VG++: A hair under near mint may have just a very few visual marks that should not affect sound.

VG+ :  A well cared for record. Should have only very slight if any audible imperfections.

VG : Many only surface lines or may have 1 or more small scratches .Background sound but still very enjoyable. Cover defects will be noted.

VG-: significant background sound from various defects but music always quite audible above it. Cover has some damage that will be noted.

HOW I PACK FOR LPs FOR INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING
To keep the price of international shipping of 1 LP at $15.00 I don’t charge for packaging costs but I need to keep the weight within 1lb. I use professional Lp mailers & in addition I usually use a light but hard foam stiffener. Sometimes I will use 1 piece of cardbord. I take the record out of the jacket if there is a possibility it might split.  I don't recall ever having any problems shipping this way. If you would like me to ship differently you must contact me before you pay so I can invoice you for any extras costs.

100% ACCURACY IN GRADING RECORDS IS A JOB FOR SUPERMAN!

At times defects will show up differently on different players.  For instance,

depending on the weight that a tone arm is set at or the quality of the stylus

what is just a pop on one player can sometimes be a skip on another

SO IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM, BEFORE RATING ME ,

PLEASE CONTACT ME & LET ME TRY & FIX IT

Because although I may not be Superman, I'm certainly not Lex Luther.
