Max Keller’s composition, realized at his home studio in 1976, is for speaker and tape is one of the spookier and more powerful electronic music pieces I have heard, with its masterful use of feedback, electronic noises and collages, and whispered and distorted voices (and banned from the Swiss radio for 25 years because of its polemical contents). Schwarzenlander’s two pieces are no less surprising, being two compositions realized at Geneva’s Institute for Psycho-Acoustic and Electronic Music in 1976 (First you want Petersbrunhof, than Hellbrunn and finally even Mirabell-Palace) and 1977 (Under the pavement – still – lies the shore) with tape loops and collages, electronic sounds and synthesizer, and musique concrete techniques, which are up there with the best works in the INA/GRM records series or by Roger Doyle’s Operating Theatre, or even Nurse With Wound. A very wonderful record of dramatic and intense experimental electronic music privately released by Max Keller under the label S.M.I. which is a must for listeners into the musicians above and Pierre Henry, Luc Ferrari, Folke Rabe, Herbert Eimert, Jacques Lejeune, Jean Claude Eloy, Robert Ashley, Gordon Mumma, David Behrman, Richard Maxfield, Max Neuhaus. ****** Record has a little surface noise on some quieter parts otherwise is in excellent condition, cover has some wear on the spines and a 1-inch tear on a white part of the right top corner (please see picture) and is in very good condition. ****** Please see my other auctions for more avant garde / experimental / electronic music records and books. ****** Sorry, postage rates have gone up: handling and registered airmail postage is about 8 euros for Europe (although cheaper options are available) and  9 euros elsewhere.
