This crucial footlong fortyfive from 1977 is one of the greatest in Lee Perry's entire, amazing career. Featuring material from arguably his finest productions ever with any Jamaican vocal group, The Congos, Scratch comes through with their riveting performances elongated and mutated over lengthy dubs on this very special foot-long fortyfive mix. Produced & released during the spiking apogee of his banner Black Ark creative spark. From his short-lived, amazing 'Upsetters Disco Cork' series, "Solid Foundation" subdivides into two amazing versions while "Neckodeemus" highlights the groups ethereal harmonies even more as the rhythms weave in and out over Perry's steamy sound envelopes. Pressed in Jamaica in limited quantities just as the classic HEART OF THE CONGOS album was released in 1977. Spiritual upliftment for the most high. Also Album, SUPER-APE By The Upsetters' sleeve (see photo). Made in Jamaica.
