Despite limited impact in Australia, feedtime exerted influence in the United States, particularly in the Pacific Northwest, and is recognised as having presaged or even helped create grunge. Mark Arm and Steve Turner, founders of the pioneering Seattle grunge band Mudhoney, cite Feedtime as one of their main musical influences. Nirvana's frontman, Kurt Cobain, was also a big fan.
