Description
Black label with silver text, deep groove, original issue. 8 tracks recorded in NYC in 1956, Leader, Sims, tenor sax; John Williams, piano; Gus Johnson, drums; Knobby Totah, bass. Small punch hole near the lower insert edge corner. This indicates a "promotional" copy.
Cover: VG++ 3" split on the top edge at the insert edge. Slight aging on the back cover. Fine, clean, copy.
Record: Mint(-) Visually shows no wear. Possibly played only 1 or 2 times with care. No markings on the vinyl pressing. There is a tiny "bubble" on the vinyl surface on Track 2. This small blemish was a result of the manufacturing process. There may be a slight noise, barely audible, over 2 or 3 revolutions. There are a few light clicks that repeat over several revolutions on Track 4, Side 2. There is no visual source on the record surface that relates to this noise. The balance of the record plays with no noise. Audibly checked.
