Description
Begin Here is the classic debut album released by The Zombies in 1965. Despite the huge success of their classic first single "She's Not There", the album completely bombed in the UK selling very few copies. This has ensured that the album has a become hard to find 'beat music' classic. It is rare to find vinyl of this period (45 years old) in this condition.
The Zombies were a brilliantly tight group of extremely talented musicians who were criminally under-rated in the UK. The band very quickly went from winning a talent contest in Watford to playing concerts in front of 10,000 people a night at gigs across the USA and topping the US charts. Class will out though and it has taken 40 to 45 years for the Zombies to enter the hearts of knowlegable collectors.
The vinyl here has retained its shine and is in very good to excellent condition. There are no noticeable scratches and the vinyl plays very well with only a little background noise which can be further improved with cleaning. There are no clicks, pops or jumps. The lables are sharp and there is a tiny yellow sticker on the A side. The sleeve shows signs of the laminated finish cracking which is common on this type of finish, but is still in good condition. I would suggest a fair price taking into account all factors would be say 2/3 rds of an Ex/Ex copy. The tracks are:-
