Description
Here is a beautiful copy of Close To The Edge by Yes on an original USA Atlantic SD 7244 white label promotional and banded for airplay vinyl LP pressing. The jacket is a pro VG+ due to some slight wear along the top and bottom of each side front and back but very slight and a couple of light crinkles. There is also a cut notch on the upper right opening edge area. There is no complete ring wear, splits, cut corners, holes, dings, or tears. This jacket has the slightly textured finish and also has a promotional sticker on the front right area as shown. The original custom inner sleeve is included with a matching notch cut but no splits. The LP is in a separate sleeve to preserve this original. The LP is a visual near mint with NO spindle marks and spotless shiny vinyl surfaces. This album looks like it was just unwrapped. The LP has the 75 Rockefeller Plaza address on the bottom center and AT/GP intials on each side run out area indicating the cutting of George Piros. His cuttings tend to have the best sound. There is a DJ suffix indicating the special banded cut for airplay cueing. These tracks do NOT fade with the bands but are continuous as the stock pressings are. The LP play grades VG+ to mostly near mint with slight ticking but nowhere near excessive, no loud crackles or explosive pops. There are two or three moderate crackles on the last section of And You And I before the acoustic reprise. This album plays fantastic for an early white label promo copy!!!
