Turkish singer and multi-instrumentalist Derya Y?ld?r?m and Grup ?im?ek are Anatolian psych-pop sensations and this is their second album on Bongo Joe. It is released in two parts, with this being the first, and it is another great take on traditional Anatolian folk ballads that adds in psychedelia and jazz for extra-special results. "We always want to push our sounds further, and constantly evolve," says Y?ld?r?m of an album that surely does that. There are dense and intense workouts like 'The Trip' next to lush and laid back stargazers like 'Haydar Haydar' making this another vital album.
