Up for your Consideration is this 1972 Original Master-Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab or (MFSL)  Recording LP by “YES”  titled “Close To The Edge”... Just another piece of fantastic Vinyl that you can’t get a hold of anymore…released in 1972  by Atlantic Records Inc.…with a product number of MFSL 1-077 ...this Fantastic LP Album is in very Excellent Condition...doesn’t appear to have ever been played… who ever had these records before me took impeccable care of them... the Cover is in Good Condition… it looks real nice except at there is some scuffing on the front and back  …the static free rice paper inner sleeve is in Excellent Condition ….There is no other paperwork that comes with the LP….. Again the Record appears to have never been played before...no scratches, nicks, smudges or scuffs… I have posted below part of the Bio, Review (from the regular LP), the rating and I've listed the tracks from www.allmusic.com   they gave the regular LP 5 stars …I have acquired about 2000 pieces of music from CD’s, 45"s, LP's, Cassettes, CD Long Boxes, Music Magazines, Picture Disc.'s , Reel to Reel's & 8 Tracks...which I have been listing over the last several months and been getting great reviews... I don't know allot about music or grading... but I can tell if something is in Excellent Condition or not and will list it accordingly.... I don't clean any of the CD's or LP's because I don't know how and I might scratch them...I inspect everything under bright sun light and state what I see...Condition is a very subjective thing and is up to each person’s perspective...- If I have left anything out that is important to you...please e-mail me with any questions.... Please look at all of the pictures since they are a part of the description also...this LP would make a wonderful addition to any one’s "YES" Collection...or any one’s Vintage MFSL Record Collection…if you want this great album... bid on it early...don't let a sniper, snipe it out from under you... Far and away the longest lasting and the most successful of the '70s progressive rock groups, Yes proved to be one of the lingering success stories from that musical genre. The band, founded in 1968, overcame a generational shift in its audience and the departure of its most visible members at key points in its history to reach the end of the century as the definitive progressive rock band. Where rivals such as Emerson, Lake & Palmer withered away commercially after the mid-'70s, and Genesis and King Crimson altered their sounds so radically as to become unrecognizable to their original fans, Yes retained the same sound, and performed much of the same repertory that they were doing in 1971; and for their trouble, they found themselves being taken seriously a quarter of a century later. Their audience remains huge because they've always attracted younger listeners drawn to their mix of daunting virtuosity, cosmic (often mystical) lyrics, complex musical textures, and powerful yet delicate lead vocals.

With 1971's Fragile having left Yes poised quivering on the brink of what friend and foe acknowledged was the peak of the band's achievement, Close to the Edge was never going to be an easy album to make. Drummer Bill Bruford was already shifting restlessly against Jon Anderson's increasingly mystic/mystifying lyricism, while contemporary reports of the recording sessions depicted bandmate Rick Wakeman, too, as little more than an observer to the vast tapestry that Anderson, Steve Howe, and Chris Squire were creating. For it was vast. Close to the Edge comprised just three tracks, the epic "And You and I" and "Siberian Khatru," plus a side-long title track that represented the musical, lyrical, and sonic culmination of all that Yes had worked toward over the past five years. Close to the Edge would make the Top Five on both sides of the Atlantic, dispatch Yes on the longest tour of its career so far and, if hindsight be the guide, launch the band on a downward swing that only disintegration, rebuilding, and a savage change of direction would cure. The latter, however, was still to come. In 1972, Close to the Edge was a flawless masterpiece.
