Condition Description & Other Information ## XL Capris were an Australian indie-punk band formed in Sydney in 1978 by Nancy Serapax (Julie Anderson), Errol Cruz (Tim Gooding), Alligator Bag (Johanna Pigott) and Däg Rattler (Kimble Rendall). Their best known recording was a punk version of Tommy Leonetti's "My City of Sydney" (1979). This single was the only Australian release found in legendary UK DJ John Peel's "battered wooden box" of 142 favourite records when, following his death in 2004, its contents were revealed to the public in a Channel 4 (UK) television special. ## The Vinyl is described as VG+ to Excellent & was fully play-tested playing with truly excellent playback, average background & no skips or stops. Several spindle marks to both labels. There are a reasonable number of fine hairlines & sleeve marks to both sides of the record. The Vinyl has retained a reasonable waxy lustre. The Cover is described as Excellent. There is visible edge/spine & corner-wear. There are fine cracks to spine & edges with associated wrinkles. There is some minor ring wear to front & verso. There are some colour losses to edges & spine and to the cover surfaces. There are some areas of faint foxing to front, inner gatefold & verso. Spine has been tastefully taped for what appears to be strengthening purposes. A few minor stains here & there. This cover has had some water damage at some stage of its life and if you are looking for a great cover then probably best avoid this one. however, for those who are a little more flexible I can assure you that it still looks fine & is very sturdy which bodes extremely well for longevity.
