MONSTER UNRELEASED MODERN 1966 GARAGE STYLE 2-SIDER FEATURING MIKE MARKESICH, BILL TOBELMAN, AND DAVE TOMANY!! =EX THE DOUBLE NAUGHT SPYS
THIS COULD EASILY HAIL AS THE BEST AND RAREST MODERN GARAGE 45 EVER MADE!
BOTH SIDES WERE RECORDED IN 1997 (IT WAS THEIR FINAL RECORDINGS), AND THEN THE RECORD WAS FINALLY TEST PRESSED IN APRIL 2000, BUT NEVER RELEASED. THE TWO SONGS WERE RECORDED JUST BEFORE THEIR BREAK.
THIS 45 SOUNDS AS IF IT WAS RECORDED IN 1966! IT IS CAPTURING MIKE "MOPTOP" MARKESICH AND HIS PALS AT THEIR VERY BEST! IF YOU'VE THOUGHT THAT THE DOUBLE NAUCHT SPYS WERE GREAT, THEN YOU SHOULD CHECK THIS ONE OUT. PRIORITY 1 IS A DYNAMITE GARAGE ORIGINAL TRACK WITH A KILLER LEAD GUITAR BREAK, AND THE FLIPSIDE HAS A BOSS COVERVERSION OF THE SHILOS TRACK. PS: Nobody in world was ever interviewing as many ex-bandmembers of U.S. 60s garage bands as MIKE MARKESICH from the WRONG DIRECTIONS, and the DOUBLE NAUGHT SPYS. MIKE was responsible for the writting of the linernotes to the TEENAGE SHUTDOWNS series (he was even them compiling them for most parts too!) as well as to countless other 60s garage reissues from around the past 20 years. He will soon be releasing his long awaited "TEENAGE MAYHEM" book.
