The vinyl looks beautiful and nearly unplayed.  There are no scratches at all on either side of the disc.  This was a very well-cared for record.  Playback on side one is smooth and very quiet, which is so very important for a track like, "If They Left Us Alone Now."  Just an errant static tic during the whole side.  Nothing that comes close to a pop or skip.  The side two playback had more surface noise than side one, but once the music starts it isn't intrusive.  As this LP was in storage for a couple decades, it will surely benefit from a good VPI cleaning.  Both sides are 1A plates (see photos), making this the earliest first pressing of this great psych LP.  Amazing clarity and bold reproduction.

The labels are spot-on perfect, with no spindle marks, no dirt wear, no stickers, no writing.  There isn't the first amount of fading on either side.  The record looks as fresh as if you'd taken a bus back to 1969, and pulled the LP out for the first listen.

As you can see by the photos, the cover has worn over the years.  There is moderate to heavy ring wear on both the front and back covers.  Thankfully though, there isn't much of an outdent from the LP.  The top and bottom seams show moderate shelf wear, and there is a modest amount of slick that has worn off.  The spine also shows moderate to heavy wear.  However, none of the seams, nor the spine have split.  The inside gatefold has yellowed over the years, but the center seam is completely intact.  No splitting at all. 

The original company sleeve is included.  It has also yellowed over time.  But just like the cover, it hasn't split ANY of its seams.  The die-cut window is still sharp and not frayed.  The upper left corner has a crease from being inserted that way at the factory.

If you're so inclined, you could always search for an upgrade for the cover, and these inner sleeves are all over the place.  But you can't upgrade the vinyl on this one.  Beautiful near mint copies with 1A plates?  You won't find one easily.
