Description
Beautiful early Winnie-The -Pooh picture 78 rpm record set. This 3 record set is by RCA Victor and is a VE Orthophonic recording, numbers 221, 222 and 223. It features Frank Luther as the tenor with violin, clarinet and piano. The featured songs are Isn't it Funny, Sing Ho! For the Life of a Bear, Us Two, The King's Breakfast, Buckingham Palace and Vespers. The three records are have identical images and verses on them, the same on both front and back. On the inside of the folder has the following handwritten inscription: to Patricia Anne Harting, With the very best wishes of Frank Luther, New York, 11.16.31. I am not a record collector, but with the help of others much more knowledgeable than I, have discovered that it is indeed the signature of Frank Luther the tenor on the records. I have also been told that this is one of the more collectable children's records sets. The binder measures 8 inches by 7.5 inches and the records measure 6.75 inches across. The records appear to be in exceptional condition, I see only a small minor scuff on one side of one record, and faint discoloring around one of the record holes (pictured). The others have no visible scuffs or scratches. The record sleeve has some separation along the binding edge as pictured. The remainder of the binder, including the front cover image is in near mint condition. Again, this is not my area of expertise, but I truly believe this is a special set and would expect you to be totally satisfied. Please bid with confidence as I would be willing to refund your purchase price if you are unhappy with this purchase based on my description.
