Old reissue of their first album which on the original Fifo label is one of the most sought after psychedelic albums in the world. Has a more Byrdsish folk rock and RnB feel than later albums but is a fine document of the bands development and is enjoyable in it‘s own way. Housed in a thick card sleeve with paste on slicks and an informative insert.
The sleeve is in excellent condition, the front is clean with no real damage or wear just the very beginnings of some ringwear, other than that lovely. The rear is in equally nice condition but lacking the ringwear that the front has. All seams and the spine (which does not have any writing) are totally unworn.
The record itself is obviously a cheap production with thin poor quality vinyl used but it is clean and in fine condition, in fact I would think that this has only been played twice, once by the original owner and once by me. The sound quality is a bit primitive (as it apparently is on the original pressing) but is clean and clear. There’s no damage anywhere, no distortion (apart from the poor production), no groovewear, no jumping or sticking but there is the occasional pop due to the poor quality vinyl used. I can’t recall ever seeing a CD version of this (although I’m certain there will be one somewhere) so unless you want pay thousands of dollars for an original pressing (if, that is, you can find one) then this is the only way to hear this super-rare album.
