Matrix   ULP 1209 A1      ULP 1209 B1

Condition: The sleeve has some discolour marks seen mostly on the rear, a few tiny lamination creases seen along the edges and light buffing to the very corners and mouth. The small dirt mark pictured on the spine will almost certainly clean. Spine & Edges Ex, no tears, bends, lamination at mouth ex, flipback edges ex, complete and graded at VG+.

This come with its original patent inner sleeve that has a little yellowing in places but is otherwise fine.

Both labels look clean and brand new, Under a strong light a few tiny spider spindle trails can be seen on side one, side two has perhaps two tiny spindle trails. The centre hole is perfect and shows no signs of wear.

The vinyl retains its new shine. Under closer examination a few scuff marks can be seen.  These look like the kind of marks that can be caused by having no inner sleeve when removing or placing the vinyl in the sleeve. So as usual I gave this a play through both sides and took the following notes.

Side 1- The very end of track two a few quiet crackles could be heard. Otherwise this side plays superbly well, quiet breaks and entries, no lessening in sound quality through wear, comfortably near mint audio.

Side 2- At the very start of this side a very quiet tick can be heard that almost disapears once the music starts, I did just about hear it for perhaps two or three rotations into the start. This soon cleared and played at mint until track 4 when once again a tick could be heard. This is perhaps halfway through this track, I counted maybe six ticks, so for six rotations but you may hear one more or less hard to be completely exact. This soon clears to go on to play mint once more.

The above mentioned surface noises are quiet and are ceratinly way in the background, the noises on side one are to be honest only just heard. The tick on track 4 of side two is a little louder but no where near the volume of the music itself.

This has been played a few times at most thus the actual sound quality is outstanding, the music itself plays with no distortion, fading or dragging heard whatsoever. This is graded at a very strict VG+, with the audio certainly being a comfortable near mint or even better, down-graded for the light surface marks, despite hardly being played.

If your buying for sound quality this one is for you.

A superb collectors item.
