Description
WIRE "MANNEQUIN" C/W "FEELING CALLED LOVE" and "12XU"
Original UK 7" Single (Harvest label: HAR 5144).
Both Vinyl Record and sleeve are in "EXCELLENT" Condition, excepting
some slight creases at the top of the sleeve otherwise intact and unblemished, except for my pen-written release date (November 1977). WIRE's debut Single from their "Pink Flag" LP. We were lucky enough to catch this group of "intellectual" art punks at various London venues, like the Marquee Club around the time of the release of this 3-track single, in November 1977. They certainly were one of the more interesting bands. Their drummer, Robert Gotobed, we had seen before as the singer in a band called the Snakes, who supported the Stranglers quite often and released a great single, which was their version of The Flamin' Groovies "Teenage Head".
