All of the Wicked Mix Records were sold as "Promotional Only for DJ use" because of copyright legalities. This allowed them to make compilation remixes of popular songs and sell them, usually, through DJ record clubs. I purchased this record through a record store that normally sold DJ records.
The average consumer was completely unaware of their existence which makes the rarity even more evident. These were the alternate versions of songs that you would sometimes hear on the radio and wonder where you could purchase that version.
The record is in excellent condition. There are some scuffs and scrapes. The sleeve is a generic yellow company sleeve that still has the original shrink on it. The pictures are of the actual record that you will receive. Please review them for a better idea of the condition.
All records are from my personal collection. They were stored in a smoke-free environment.
This record is the real deal. Not the so-called "NEW" reproductions that just hit eBay. Those were probably mastered from the cd versions of the specific volume of Wicked Mix. They are inferior to the originally mastered vinyl. Things to note about the "NEW" versions.
1. Many don't have the original company yellow Wicked MIx record sleeve. All Wicked Mix records got the yellow sleeve starting with volume 4.
2. There is no "copyright 1990 Wicked Mix all rights reserved" on the label.
3. There is no subscription information phone number on the label.
I just want to warn people looking for these hard to find records that these fake "NEW" and "RARE" records exist. Mine are authentic first pressings.
I package and ship all records with my double wrapped, crisscrossed for strength, and over-sized for corner protection, custom boxes to help ensure that your record(s) will arrive safely without any damage during shipping. I do combine shipping but, you must add the other items to your cart before you check out.
Shipping is via USPS Media Mail and can take 2 to 8 business days to arrive (sometimes less, sometimes more depending on your location). If you live in Alaska, Hawaii, or Puerto Rico it may take even longer so please be aware of this before bidding. I do combine shipping. It is $1 more for every extra record. You must either add all items to cart and use the "Buy It Now" option or the auctions must end within 3 days of each other and you can wait until all your winning auctions end to receive an invoice with the combined shipping price included. ** Pre-owned vinyl is subject to normal wear and tear. Vinyl condition rating and listening experience are subjective and variable based on equipment.
