Description

Michael Mathis And White Lightning: "Old Hickory & The Pirate" 1977, USA/Hakim Records HR-1001. Disc looks M- but plays with light surface noise, maybe a machine cleaning would help? Cover has a demo sticker, a bit of writing right next to the sticker that I can't read ("Toy"? "Tug"?) and some light stains on the front side that are only visible if you tilt the cover into the light, this cover is VG. Rare private (tax loss?) LP with a bunch of demo-sounding rural rock tracks, and three Eastern psych cuts where the singer sounds alarmingly like Merrell Fankhauser circa HMS Bounty. The tracks sound like they were recorded from the late 60s to the mid-70s. The recordings were made in Southern California. As you can probably tell, I'm not sure what to make of this.

I ship all records in strong cardboard mailers with cardboard flats added to increase stability. The discs are always removed from the jackets to prevent seam splits, and all albums are dressed in plastic sleeves for travel. Please be aware that these supplies are expensive to purchase and represent a small portion of my shipping charges. I pack/ship one day per week, usually it is Friday.

SHIPPING RATES:

USA: I can send this LP to you by Media Mail for $4.00, or by Priority Mail, which will be calculated after the auction using your zip code. Most of my customers prefer Media Mail because it is very cheap. Please keep in mind that it's cheap because it is SLOW. I have had Media Mail boxes take a month to travel 30 miles and in excess of two months to travel cross-country.

CANADA: If you are in Canada, I can send this LP to you by 1st Class Airmail for $8.00.

MEXICO: If you are in Mexico, I can send this LP to you by 1st Class Airmail for $12.00.

EVERYWHERE ELSE: If you are not in the USA, Canada, or Mexico, I can send this LP to you by 1st Class Airmail for $16.50.
