Die West Coast Pop Art Experimental Band ist eine der am wenigsten klassifizierbaren Bands überhaupt und Ihr Album „Vol. 3. A Child's Guide To Good And Evil” ist ein sehr gutes Beispiel dafür. Es gilt als das vollendetste Werk der Band und als ein Meisterwerk des psychedelischen Genres. Nur neun Monate nach Volume 2 veröffentlicht, erforscht die Band ihr unglaublich kreatives Psychedelic-Pop-Songwriting mit einer vollendeten Beherrschung der Studiotechnik.
Das Cover des Albums zeigt das ikonische Original-Artwork von Jon Van Hamersveld, der auch Cover für die Beatles und die Rolling Stones entworfen hat. Während ihres kurzen Bestehens wurde The West Coast Pop Art Experimental Band für ihre seltsamen Kompositionen bekannt, die sich manchmal auf den Sound der Byrds beziehen, während sie hin und wieder die Schrägheit von Captain Beefheart und Frank Zappa offenbaren.
