Description

Up for grabs...
The ULTRA RARE ORIGINAL 1964 Bat Records U.S. press of this terrific debut from outlaw country legend, Waylon Jennings.  Brilliant.
“In 1961, Jennings and his band began playing a club called JD's in Phoenix, Arizona, owned by J.D. Musil. Jennings' eclectic repertoire, which included country, rock & roll, and folk music, made him a local star as he gained a loyal fan base throughout Arizona. Released to capitalize on Jennings' popularity, Waylon at JD's was sold only at Musil's nightclub (500), and it sold out quickly and a new batch of albums was pressed (500) – and those sold out as well.”
This is the real deal FIRST PRESS that was only pressed in a run of 500 copies.  It quickly sold out at shows at JD's.  And it's reached legendary status since with represses since.  Hey, maybe Waylon himself sold this copy out of the back of his truck in the JD's parking lot.
Record has surface (fingernail style) scratches mainly on b-side.  A-side is pretty clean, just has surface noise during lead-ins & fadeouts.  Music sounds great.  B--side has the scratches in the PHOTOS.  It still plays with NO SKIPS, but has some surface noise that can be heard during some of the music and quiet parts.  Still listenable. Gives it that old-timey feel. Ha. Could probably be professionally cleaned to get rid of whatever static surface noise and just have the pops left, up to the new owner.  Either way, this legendary record plays thru with no skips and has great songs to hear as intended.
Or buy it to have an original grail in your hands and buy the recent Record Store Day release to listen to.  These don't come around very often.
Will ship safely in bubblewrap & LP shipping box.
