Description
This is the very rare 12 inch single by Walter Steding & The Dragon People on ANDY WARHOL'S own label EARHOLE PRODUCTIONS in 1980.
Two tracks: A. The Joke, B. Chase The Dragon.
Walter Steding was, besides musician, one of Warhol's helpers in The Factory for chores like preparing and cleaning the silk screens. Steding played electric fiddle, and performed mostly solo as a one man band. Don't know if Warhol really liked this kind of new wave music (on another Steding LP there is a picture of Warhol covering his ears!), still he was executive producer of this 12" and did some drawings of Steding and his band The Dragon People for the cover.
The single sells for 950$ and more in art galleries.
The copy for sale here is not in pristine, but still in very good condition. The letters WMSC are written in fine blue ballpoint pen on Steding's face. There is some sticker residu on the top left picture on front. There is a 3 inch split at the spine, but alle lettering can be read.
Vinyl: VG++ plays great throughout.
