Beatles 45 & PS Ticket to Ride EXTREMELY RARE LA Copy with Title on 1 Line, NM!
I can’t test-play vinyl at the minute, so with that said…
First Pressing for less than half the first run!
These copies really do come along just once in a lifetime. I’ve never seen another copy before in person OR for sale. By far, the vast majority of US first pressings from the LA plant printed the title on two lines. (See photo.)
When describing this copy to fellow collectors, they will almost invariably respond with, “Oh. Yeah, that’s a Canadian copy.” But it isn’t! I’ve also provided a compere photo of the Canadian pressing, so that you can see the difference. The Canadian copy has “Recorded in England” below the Capitol logo to the left of the playhole, as well as “Mfd. In Canada” in the bottom peripheral print. (See photo.)
Sleeve: VG. West coast thumb tab LA picture sleeve has a lot of finger divots and moderate outdent to both sides. NO SPLITS. Price tags are affixed to the Side 2 of the sleeve.
A company Capitol sleeve will be provided to protect your company sleeve during shipping.
Vinyl: NM/ NM. Both sides are stunning gorgeous. Have a second person at the ready with smelling salts in the event of multiple passings-out.
Labels: NM/ NM.
Plates: F5/ G6. Machine-stamped asterisk in the dead wax on both sides makes this copy pressed in Los Angeles.
This copy is so close to store stock NM. If you happen to find another one within your lifetime, it’s not going to be in this condition.
As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up. Thanks!)
Note: All 45’s ship outside of their sleeves in order not to damage the sleeve during shipment. Generic plain, white sleeves and Mylar provided.
Please don’t bid unless you’re willing to honor your amount, okay? Thanks!
(Please note: Regarding play-testing, my Technics turntable has somehow seized. The tone arm is stuck in the up position, and I can’t get it to fully return to its cradle. Is there anyone out there, who can tell me if this is an easy fix? Thanks!)
