Description
Walrus 'Same' DERAM SML1072 1070 Rare German Pressing on with Royal Sound logo's Cover Fully Laminated Both Sides unlike the UK pressing.
Here is one of the Really Underrated Jazz Progressive Records dating from 1970 and I think one of my personal Fav's was not really well know for years not sure why and more rock than Jazz if you like Things like Aardvark Galliard etc then this is worth checking.
This record is I suspect almost as rare as the UK copies as out of all the Deram German Records you see like East of Eden this one is much less common and even the German Dealer rarely have it on there sales lists. as people will be aware most German Copies Carry the Same UK Numbers ask if you need.
Cover
The cover as you will see shows two Scans the Reason for this is that the Back has some Yellowing along Bottom Edge and Spine and the opening Edge as shown the edge with the opening some of the Lamination has start to lift and peel very slightly. The cover has some very fine hair like creases to the Edge and a Larger Bottom right Corner Creases back about the same apart from that area of Fading as said above. Spine is clean will all text readable as shown the in the scan the sleeves still looks really nice and the areas of Wear are quite Small so I feel it still Grades as VG+ but you can ask if needed Pen mark on Back as shown top right near catalog number. VG+
LABELS
There are no pen marks or Stickers etc you might be able to see the odd spindle marks on the Labels around the Middle of the Spindle area but the German Labels are Less Glossy than the UK sleeves more mat like finish as such they don't show the marking.
Record/Vinyl
The Record nice and glossy as people will know I always Grade under a Strong Light (not Sunlight) as such this shows every handling mark etc, Most German Records came out in these cheap Paper Sleeves that are not quite as nice as some other German Inner Sleeve as such I Suspect that a number of these light marks are from pulling out of it. Both Sides are Scratch Free there are some marks, Side One shows two Hairlines and what look like more Small Scuffs than Hairlines most on track two and few odd paper type marks. Side Two is Cleaner with mainly Paper type scuffs and odd hairline most are only seen when Holding Record to side under light so still looking very nice and clean. For this Reason as given below I want to list down a bit hard to understand but this was put out at M- when I used to do Record Fairs but there is a few tiny crackle pop's most side One that I feel means it has be listed a bit lower but its really still Great sounding copy I no Jumps etc. Please Check my Information VG+
Playback
The Record plays nice side one starts well with some light crackle at the start music and few light back ground areas and as said there seems to be around Three Crackly pops Middle of Record, Side Two plays a also nice with some light crackle in low areas as said above that is reason for grade, Good Crisp sound and still Very Enjoyable Record.

I always give Clear Information on all items such as the Sleeves and Records,
Along with Extra items like Inners or Posters etc.
PLEASE NOTE I DON”T USE “MINT” MY HIGHEST GRADE IS NEAR MINT OR M-
(M) Rarely used unless Item is still un-open new. Mainly for new or Re-issue Records
(M-) OR NEAR MINT (A Fantastic Collector Copy)
Very Clean Item with little signs of use, looking almost as new both sides clean with No Scratches
or Surface marks there might be odd Paper marks. Should any copy fail to meet this grade I Prefer to list
down a grade but I always provide sufficient information.
(Ex) (Collector Copy)
The Record has clearly been Played shows some signs of enjoyment, Strong Copy Retaining Full Crisp sound.
Might be odd surface Line or Few Very Minor hairline marks or a few Scuffs. Playback would Still Be Ace with
no Playback Issues.
(EX-) OR (VG+) (Good Keeper Copy)
This Grade means that the copy may have slightly more signs of use but would always have Good Crisp sound.
It might have extra paper marks or Few Hairlines or even an odd Scratch this would not be Audible unless said
and how the Scratches affects the Record would clearly be listed.
(VG) (KEEPER COPY)
The Item has clearly been played many times but Despite Visual Marks Like Hair lines or Scratches and Some
Surface marks. The Sound Still Retains Good playback, if there is a scratch that Sounds I clearly indicate
where it occurs and how it affects the track playing time.
When I use a Grade less than VG it would normally be due to a record being very rare or a sleeve that I feel
does not fit with VG due to Repairs or damage mostly records under VG are Only Fit for the Bin. But if you
are unsure just ask.
