Description
This is an auction for a rare LP by, Walrus, Walrus.
This was released by Deram Records in 1970 and has catalogue number SML1072. This is stereo.
Matrix: ZAL 10017 P1W ZAL 10018 P1W
Condition: The sleeve has a pen mark on the rear top corner, a few light discolour marks, light buffing to the very corners and some lamination creases. Spine & edges fine, no tears, complete and graded at VG.
This comes with its original inner sleeve which is in fine condition.
Label one is clean, under closer examination some spindle trails can be seen, the centre hole is fine and shows no sign of wear.
Label two has a little darkening seen by the centre hole and two finger marks, under close examination some spindle trails can be seen. The centre hole shows a mere touch of wear.
The vinyl retains its near new shine, when held under a strong light several light scratches and hairline scratches can be seen, there is also a couple of dirt/dust marks. I have of course played this through both sides and it plays ok. There is some feckling heard in places, at the beginning of side two during the talking start this can be heard the loudest and is heard in the form of crackles. These crackles completely disapear to return in places through both sides. The music itself plays strong with no major deterioation heard in sound quality, this plays with no distortion, fading or dragging. This has certainly not been overplayed hence there is very little lessening in sound quality through wear. Given a clean may see some of the crackles lift, lastly the crackles are certainly much quieter than the music itself and, as stated above, for a large majority of this record can not be heard at all.
The vinyl for this is graded at a strict VG, with it perhaps sounding a little better.
Certainly better than a gap filler.
