VOGUE PICTURES Double Number Records
During the production of Vogue Picture Records some records were given different numbers. One such case is the Vogue record R740/747. This record was in a set of Learn to dance the Rhumba Box Set. In the late 1970's I worked at a record store in downtown Chicago. In the basement in a dark corner were boxes and boxes of Vogue Picture Records. I approached the store owners and asked if I could buy all them. They agreed and ever since them I have been selling these records.
Recently I noticed that the same record had different numbers on one of the sides. Since there are many Vogue collectors out there I have decided to offer this dual number record.
One record has "I Dreamed About You Last Night" by Dick La Salle and his Society Orchestra on Side A. It has the number R 747 on it. The other side has "Rhumba Lesson No. 2" on it. It has the number R 740 on it.
On the other "dual record" Side A also has "I Dreamed About You Last Night" by Dick La Salle and his Society Orchestra, but has the number R 747 on it. The other side has "Rhumba Lesson No. 2" on it. But still has the number R 740.
I am offering collectors a chance to own both of these versions of the same record. I have made detailed scans of both records so that you can determine the condition of these records and bid accordingly.
