Rare Velvet Underground cardboard picture disc featuring Lou Reed circa 1966.Disc originally came included with the Andy Warhol Index book and is a rare key component to the early Velvets' discography. I played the disc one time back in the early 90's when I got it. The audio is that of Nico speaking at length about the album Velvet Underground and Nico while the record itself plays in the background during a party at Warhol's factory. The real appeal to this disc in any case is the displayability and its rarity overall. It's the only copy I've ever seen in person. There are a few small creases, including a slight dog-ear to the upper left corner. Also, there is a sort of horizontal crease beneath the playing surface, but it doesn't affect play nor does it affect the look of the piece over all. In fact the crease is only really noticeable if you look at the back side. for this reason I've included a shot of the reverse. The record looks great displayed on a small easel on top of your record shelf, which is where I displayed it for several years.
