Up for sale is one(1) Van Halen - Self Titled Debut LP from 1978 on Warner Bros. Records (#BSK 3075). FIRST PRESSING. This is the misprint version with the number 4 listed twice on Side 1. There is No Barcode.
THIS IS THE SUPER RARE LABEL MISPRINT VERSION WITH side 1 tracks being listed as 1, 2, 3, 4, 4, 5
instead of 1, 2, 3, 4, 5.
PLAY TESTED! I RECENTLY PLAYED THIS LP AND IT SOUNDS AWESOME, ESPECIALLY CRANKED UP! IT PLAYS ALL THE WAY THROUGH WITHOUT SKIPS.
The Vinyl is in good condition, but has some surface marks that WILL cause surface noise and pops & clicks along the way. Even with a Good grading there is going to be a certain amount of surface noise. More noticible during the quiet parts.
Nice fairly clean labels with spindle marks and a circular pen mark on Side 1.
The cover is in good condition with heavy wear from age, including, but not limited to corner dings, crumples, creases, scrapes, fade spots, peeling and ring wear. There is white fading on the seams and spine. There are NO split seams, but there is a peeling spot on the spine which may lead to a split seam in the furure.
The custiom inner sleeve is in Good condition but has a fairly large split seam on all 3 sides that were "repaired" mainy years ago with "Scotch Tape". And there are crumples & creases throughout. The LP is now being housed in a separate plain white sleeve.
I obtained this LP in the late 1970's. It was played many times back in the day, but not played in over 30 years(until recently play tested). It has been in storage ever since.
