Still clearing out my vinyl collection.... This auction is for a rare early copy of the much sought after Ripper Records AK-79 punk compilation, the first title released by Ripper reords (RPR1).
This album is regarded as one of the most influential albums ever released in New Zealand.
The cover and vinyl are in very good condition.
AK-79 is a "collection of demo tapes recorded by various bands in Auckland city over a period of about one year, ending in late '79."
This looks to be the second 1979 pressing with the CBS copyright line on the bottom of the label: "Made in New Zealand by a registered user of the trade marks".
