This record was the first Velvet Underground bootleg LP ever released.
It offers both sides of the pre-VU Primitives 45 and some unreleased live tracks recorded by Brigid Polk at Max's Kansas City in 1970. However Lonesome Cowboy Bill, I'm Waiting For The Man, New Age and Sweet Jane are actually the same as on the official Live At Max's album!
The Lou Reed photo on back cover was shot by Nat Finkelstein and is actually picked up from The Velvet Underground & Nico liner. Both labels and back cover mislist Sneaky Pete in place of The Ostrich.
Les Inrockuptibles Superstars booklet says that 2000 copies were originally pressed, but most of those would have been retired from market after the 'hassle' between the parts involved in the project.

There was a reissue around 1984 with different matrix numbers but otherwise identical to the original pressing except a stronger cover, deeper blacks of sleeve, different shade of label color and greater weight of the vinyl (about 129 g compared to about 86 g of this)

RECORD GRADING:
· SS Still sealed. A new record – never opened..
· M Mint or mint minus. Clean and bright, no signs of wear, possibly played once or twice.
· VG+ Very good plus. Close to like new with only superficial signs of use which will not affect play. A well cared for record that will satisfy most collectors.
· VG Very good. A used but reasonable copy. There will be some signs of wear and possibly light noise during quiet passages, otherwise a nice and acceptable playing copy.
· VG- Very good minus. A used copy with significant wear, marks and likely to have surface noise.
· G+ Good plus. Not a particularly nice copy, however a playable record. We do not like to sell any record in G+ condition unless it is a true rarity and when any copy in playable condition might be desirable.
We guarantee accurate grading. If your record is not as described please contact us so we may offer a refund or adjusted price before leaving negative feedback. Thank you.
