VELVET UNDERGROUND ST (Third Album)
Label: MGM
Catalog: SE 4617
Description: Mostly overlooked at the
time, the third outing from these
stalwarts of the underground getting
quieter (?!) and more introspective.
This is the original "closet mix" that
is still not available on vinyl reissues. It's a
more subdued mix with an
emphasis on the vocals and less on
percussion and guitar which makes
it sound much more haunting.
According to many this is
Lou Reeds preferred mix.
The record jacket has shrink though
it it not original, it has though kept
the cover in great shape!
The LP itself is in great shape and
comes with the original MGM
inner sleeve.
Condition
LP: NM
Playgrade: VG++, occasional
light pops in the quieter passages,
nothing annoying.
Label: Very light spindle wear
Cover: VG++/NM, some corner wear
