Description
Up for auction is a South African pressing of Something Out Of Africa which includes Laban Molobye "Impromptu" By Schubert; Vinah "Tula Baba" - Traditional ; Betty Mthombeni "Shaweni" Shangaan Traditional and The Malombo Jazz Men "Abie's Mood".
Pressed on the silver on blue Gallotone label (EP/XYZ.111).
The vinyl is in VG+ condition with little signs of play. Both triangular centers are in EX condition. The gatefold sleeve is in VG- condition and has spots on the edge of the spine (see pic) The gatefold gives a bit of info on the 4 tracks, which was written by Richard Exley. Proceeds of this E.P. went to non-European artists back in the day.There is also a note on the back cover which gives you the story behind this E.P. A very rare find from South Africa.
