Ultra rare blue beat - Prince buster jamaica ska explosion - NO RESERVE
1965 heavyweight Blue Beat original LP BB LP 806 - It’s Burkes Law / Jamaica Ska Explosion, featuring Prince Buster’s All Stars
You all know how scarce any of the original uk BlueBeat LPs are. They turn up once in a blue moon and when they do they’re always well thrashed. Their rarity and collectability is reflected in the Record Collector guide.
This particular LP is one of the most desirable since, as well as including a number of classics, it also includes some serious heavyweight tunes, the pick of which has to be the legendary Buster's "Trip to Mars" – an all-time top sound clash choice and not to be confused with the Island Skatalites release of the same name. I’m pretty certain that this LP was only UK release of this first cut to "Trip to Mars" (although we all know the other instrumental cut that found it’s way onto UK Blue Beat 7" of course). If you know otherwise, please let me know. If you can’t play this tune, then pack your bags and leave the room…………
LP condition is conservatively graded at VG+ according to RC guidelines. However, I suspect most reggae dealers would be listing this as EX. Labels are EX with no writing. Cover shows normal wear to edges, etc, with no rips, writing or ugly repairs.
