Description
Here’s an unreleased original demo from the songwriting team of Rudy Clark (“Everybody Plays the Fool,” “It’s in His Kiss,” etc.), Ken Williams and Jim Bailey—though we haven’t been able to nail down who the female singer is. It was cut for Wes Farrell’s publishing company, most likely in the late ‘60s. The group Rock Flowers subsequently recorded a much slicker version of this tune for their self-titled LP, and it seems to be the version that was ever committed to wax. This acetate is in excellent condition with a few faint surface marks that don’t affect play. The audio linked below comes directly from it:
