This auction is for an extremely rare copy of the 1964 original pressing LP vinyl album, 12x5 by The Rolling Stones in Stereo.

This edition has the Blue Stereo London FFRR label. It has also been suggested that this was originally manufactured for export to Scandinavian countries, however it is not known if they were ever actually exported.  I have been advised that there were potentially only 1000 of these editions ever made. 

This extremely rare vinyl features a spelling mistake of the song congratulations to “CONGRADULATIONS” on the back of the sleeve, see photos for more details.  The cover is the 'flip-back' construction.

Alternative cover art featuring the same photo of the band as that which appears on the cover of "The Rolling Stones", but reduced in size and surrounded by a white border. 

Both jacket and disc were pressed in the UK.  It should be noted that, although pressed entirely in the UK, this edition features the same exact tracklist as the US release of the same name, as opposed to that of the Stones' 2nd UK album, "Rolling Stones No. 2".

The original “London FFrr” inner sleeve is in near mint condition and its inside is lined with a plastic layer to offer the record more protection.

The outer sleeve is in very good condition with minor outer ring wear but this does not detract from the overall artwork of the sleeve.  Outer sleeve has signs of slight discolouration and very minor signs of wear and tear, which is hardly surprising due to it's age.  This can be seen in the photos.

There are surface marks/scuffs on either side of the vinyl, however these do not compromise the playback of the record.  I have shown these in the photos, where possible. 

I have listened to the whole album and there are no jumps whatsoever. Very slight crackling just before the first track on side 2, but does not affect the actual track. It sounds very good, considering it's age.  However, please be advised that my record player is relatively basic (albeit new), so sound quality may differ on any high-end audio equipment.  Professional cleaning of the vinyl may remove some of these marks. 

This album has not been purchased from any other seller.  It has been in my family for 53 years and was purchased in London by my mother in 1964.

I have reported honestly the condition of the vinyl and sleeves and as stated previously, I have listed to the album more than once to check playback and on a basic record player, it sounds very good.  No jumping or significant crackling.
